Take 2 with the B-side "Where Do You Come From" was shipped out as the single on October 2, 1962. "Return to Sender" peaked at #2 for 5 weeks in its 16-week run on Billboard's pop singles chart. On the R&B chart it peaked at #5 in its 12-week run. On the British pop chart it had a 14-week run with 3 weeks at #1.
