Again a super rare - maybe the rarest - CD, caught by Andy:
The lost Elvis RCA CD. A RCA Special Products CD pressed for Heartland
Music.
Till now it was only known that "His Songs Of Faith and Inspiration" existed
as a vinyl 2 LP set or as a
cassette version (see David Petrelles book Solid Gold Elvis).
This RCA Special Products double CD set was totally unknown.
In Dale Hampton's book "Elvis - For CD Fans Only" this RCA CD set is listed
as the lost CD.
Only title and catalog number are mentioned ... nothing else. No cover, back
inlay or CD label picture.

Here we have an ultra rare pressing of the CD:
'Rocker'.
Any CD collector might say... What's so special about this one?
Here it comes: The first release of "Elvis Rocker" was pressed in Japan for
Germany in 1984 and also the second issue was pressed in Japan for Germany
back in 1985.
Here comes the strangest thing... This Rocker release is actually printed
and made in Germany. This is very unusual, since the first releases such as
"A Valentine Gift", "Always On My Mind", "Rare Elvis" and of course "Rocker"
were pressed in Japan...

Here we have an ultra rare pressing where nothing is wrong, except ...
Made in 1987 and released in the U.S. The "LOVE ME TENDER" was released
first on MC (CAK-2650) and later on CD. Total sale exceeded 982,000 copies,
but we don't know how many MCs/CDs because only BMG has the complete number.
Not certified as GOLD AWARD because of the low price. This one is probably
made between "Burning Love And Hits From His Movies Vol. 2" (CAD1-2595) and
"Elvis Sings For Children And Grownups Too" (CAD1-2704). It's not listed in
any book, not even in "For CD Fans Only" by Dale Hampton.
This is a real strange thing and one of the rarest
collectable CDs.

The first item is the highly collectable Sono
Creative Disc. It is a Mega Rare one track SONO CREATIVE DISC.
It has one Elvis track, HOUND DOG, on it. It is a one track CD. It is clear
plastic with a nice picture on the disc. This CD has no front or back cover.
The strangest thing about this rare CD is: There is no catalog number
assigned.
There are 2 (we guess) pressings. As you can see, the right one has on the
left side a printed CREATIVE DISC near the logo SONO and on the right side a
handwritten 'Elvis: Hound Dog'.
Another super rarity CD that is almost impossible to find.

CD single is used also for promotional reasons. It promotes the very
rare Italian CD 'Elvis Presley, The King'. (see under RCA/BMG - Elvis
Presley, The King).
On the back-cover you see the picture
that was used for the box 'Elvis From Nashville' The Essential 60's
Masters 1. The songs 'Suspicious Minds' as well as 'In The Ghetto' were not
taken from the box.

This unique CD was sent to us by Mr. Gabriele Scollo from Italy.
There is no matrix number pressed on the disc. Instead of the matrix number 'Sonopress
xxxx' you see only FI 1207.
As on the Hong Kong release the lower half of the CD as well the "ribs" are
white instead of silver/grey. On backcover you can read "Printed in Germany"!
Something don't match.
So far we don't know what that means. Is it a miss pressing, a test pressing......?

At first glance it looks like the 1994 pressing. Correct, but you will
also notice that this beauty has a complety different back-cover.
This one was a special gift from a Dutch company called *Vrumona.
It was given to their customers on one day only (the day before Christmas).
There is also a Christmas greetings card - written in Dutch - with the logo from Vrumona.
We have phoned Vrumona and asked how many of these CDs were pressed. Answer: 250
only.
This is indeed 'A Highly Collectable CD'.
*Vrumona is a Dutch soft drinks manufacturer, distributor and sales organization.
