set featuring three rare radio specials from 1967 and 1968, originally produced
to promote some of Elvis Presley's most iconic releases.
CD 1 features a previously unreleased radio special that originally aired on
December 1st, 1968, created to promote the now-legendary NBC '68 Comeback
Special, along with its accompanying album and Elvis' four celebrated ‘Golden
Records' compilations.
Narrated by announcer Jerry Jay, it captures the excitement surrounding Elvis'
powerful return to the spotlight.
CD 2 opens with a radio broadcast from March 19, 1967, timed with the Easter
season and crafted to promote the gospel masterpiece ‘How Great Thou Art,' which
had just been released weeks earlier.
The disc concludes with a festive special from December 3, 1967, spotlighting
Elvis' Christmas and religious albums and singles - the perfect gift suggestion
for fans during the holiday season.
These specials were broadcast on hundreds of radio stations across the United
States, showcasing the Colonel's knack for nationwide promotion.
With all audio lovingly restored for optimal sound quality, this set offers a
unique glimpse into the promotional machine behind the King - and the timeless
music that kept fans tuning in.
