"Amazing Grace", take 2, wasn't overdubbed.
The chorus was in the studio with Elvis and on some releases the chorus was
removed.
"How The Web Was Woven", take 2, is actually not a take, but the intro and
the end of the song are discussed, which David Briggs and James Burton
briefly rehearse.
Take 2 is announced, then the rehearsals and dialogue follow and then Take 2
is announced again.
We don't get to hear take 2 anymore.
"Sylvia", take 5 / 6 aren't actually takes in that sense.
First of all, Felton Jarvis counts take 5 as take 3 and says correction take
5.
Elvis doesn't come into action at all, but again brings his gag "Dear
Georgie".
The same with take 6, which he announces as take 4 and correction take 5
again.
But this has to be take 6 because then comes take 7, which we already know
from Venus and which actually only consists of banter.
Before "Put Your Hand In The Hand", uncut master, the one-liner "I Want You,
I Need You, I Love You" was cut in, which actually belongs to take 2 of "(That's
What You Get) For
Lovin' Me".
"No More" is not take 1 of the Aloha version, but take 2.
The difference to the master of "Bosom Of Abraham"
is hardly noticeable and consists of 1 to 2 seconds at the beginning.
And a humorous note: In the rehearsal of "How The Web Was Woven", before
take 1, Elvis does a powerful belch that was mixed away on the regular
releases by muting Elvis' vocal track.
Here you can hear it.
