Issued in 2000 by BMG EU to promote the “That’s The Way It Is – Special Edition” 3 CD set.
This 6 track promo CD is presented in a digipack. The front cover is the same as the “That’s The Way It Is – Special Edition” 3 CD set itself. The only difference is that the “Special Edition” phrase is replaced with “30th Anniversary Sampler” phrase. The inside of the digipack contains a short 3 paragraph write up about the original album , the revised album and the film itself. Underneath the disc tray , is the all too familiar picture of Elvis during the “That’s The Way It Is” rehearsals with a towel around his neck. The back cover lists the 6 tracks and the recording data on a white background. The BMG and RCA logos are also printed. In addition , the “For Promotional Use Only -Not For Sale” phrase is also printed in bold black letters. The CD design is the same as the first CD in the commercial 3 CD set. However , the “Disc One Special Edition” phrase is replaced with “30th Anniversary Sampler” phrase. Also , the “For Promotional Use Only. Not For Sale” warning is printed on the disc. As usual , the BMG / RCA logos and the catalog number are also printed.
