Announcement: The Lone Star will release within a couple of weeks the new CD "Night Time Is The Right Time" - The Man In White Vol. 4 that will feature the Mother's Day concert, May 13, 1973, Lake Tahoe (the same show as "The Perfect Gift"). The tape that has been used is from the original tape and comes with an eight page booklet. The tape source is the original master (audience) but sound should be really good and falls in the same category as the 1973 show on the Fort Baxter box set. It has been remastered for the best quality possible and it shows. Apart from the theme 2001 at the beginning of the show it is the complete show. Elvis pulls a trick on the audience but mainly on the hotel management by letting the band do 'Theme 2001' after 'Can't Help Falling In Love' and he has left the stage. You can hear the audience reacting with disbelieve and excitement and returning to their boots to await the encore by Elvis. After the complete '2001' and the start of the drum roll by Ronnie it turns out to be a joke, with Ronnie hitting a firebell that he also hits a couple of times during the show to great amusement of Elvis. Great show, great songs and Elvis in a great mood!
Sound Sample: Suspicious Minds
Concert: A special Mother`s Day show. Perhaps the best concert of this Tahoe gig. Elvis is in an excellent mood and gives all he was able to, vocally and physically.
Very interesting setlist with highlights like My Way, It`s Over, Release Me or the very rare Faded Love ! (Ciscoking)
