Memphis Recording Service’ (MRS) continuing its 20-year anniversary
(2005-2025) will release a 2CD Deluxe CD Set titled ‘LAS VEGAS – ‘THE RAGING
TIGER’ CLOSING NIGHT 1974’ in November 2025.
The set features one of Elvis’ most controversial performances recorded during
his closing night at the Las Vegas Hilton, on the 2nd of September 1974.
Although the show was strong and well performed, at various points throughout,
Elvis frequently broke off to ramble about unrelated topics displaying
unprofessional and inappropriate behaviour, that included some explosive
outbursts and angry out-of-character threats.
For the first time ever, the original recording has been remastered and mixed
into stereo. The accompanying booklet features rare photographs and memorabilia
from the event and also includes liner notes that set the scene.
